One-of-a-Kind Gemstone Jewelry, Handmade in Georgia

Mettle by Abby is the work of artist and goldsmith Abby Meadows, who designs and handcrafts every piece in her Woodstock, Georgia studio. Working with natural gemstones, solid 14k gold, and Argentium sterling silver, Abby creates distinctive rings, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets with individuality at their heart.

Her designs begin with curiosity: an unexpected color, an unusual inclusion, or a stone with a pattern unlike anything she’s seen before. Through traditional metalsmithing and hand fabrication, she shapes the metal to complement the character of each gemstone. Every piece is individually handmade and unique, designed to be comfortable, expressive, and worn for years.

A Story That Began at David Douglas Diamonds & Jewelry

Mettle by Abby has been part of the David Douglas story since 2010, when Abby was invited to create a jewelry collection for our store after earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jewelry & Metals from Winthrop University. She has been making and selling jewelry since 2002 and established her independent studio in 2017. Today, we’re proud to continue our longstanding relationship and share her work with our customers.
