Drawing For Diamonds

This is our favorite events to host at our local high schools. Each year the highschool students design a diamond pendant for the Homecoming Queen which we present to her on the football field Homecoming Night. One year we received such a detailed design we invited the participant to intern as a jeweler here at our jewelry store. For the drawing contest winner with the best design receives a $250 store gift certificate and second and third place winners receive a $100 store gift certificate.

Dazzling Diamonds for Mom

In 1990 our founder, Douglas Meadows, lost his mother to cancer. To commemorate her and her life, each year we sponsor a writing contest in our local elementary school. This contest allows students to honor their their own mothers and to express their love and appreciation through a writing exercise. We offer this contest to students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. For 15 years we have over 7,000 kids write in and tell us why their mom deserves a diamond. Three students win a 1/4 carat diamond and a gemstone winner is chosen from every classroom that participates.

“My mom deserves this diamond because she is always willing to help. She loves to play games with us, and whenever I see her my face lights up. I cherish everyday with her. My mom is not only a great mom, but a teacher and mentor. She guides me through tough times, and I am so greatful to have her as my mom. I love her so, so much, and I will always lover her, to the moon and back.”

Life School International

We are proud partners with Life School International – a ministry devoted to equipping Pastors in third world countries (primarily in Africa) with the tools and teachings necessary to preach the Gospel to their own congregation and community.

60% of pastors around the world are untrained. Life school steps in to equip these forgotten pastors in third-world nations through a distance-learning program at no cost to them so they can use it to transform their own church and community.

“I have been to many Bible schools—I even have a PHD in theology—but this school has brought great change in me. Lifeschool doesn’t just teach theology; you teach the real life of heavenly citizenship. For me these books are a great revelation. We have been transformed in Africa.”
