What's the message behind the collection?

In the book of Joshua, the children of Israel were ready to make their historic passage into the promised land. But between them and the promised land lay the Jordan River, full and overflowing its banks. The bible says that when they put their feet in the waters of the Jordan River, God supernaturally caused the water to quit flowing, and He allowed for the children of Israel to walk across on dry land. It was a true miracle.

What’s interesting is that after they crossed, God instructed Joshua. He said to gather some stones from the dry river bed where they had seen this great miracle with their own eyes, and arrange the stones in the promised land as a memorial, so that in future generations your children will ask what they mean. You can tell them that they are reminders of the mighty miracles and the awesome things that you have seen God do with your own eyes.
