The rarest of all pearls (and also the largest, at about 10mm - 20mm in diameter), South Sea pearls are exceptional quality pearls found in a variety of colors.
A single South Sea pearl is exquisite, and a matched strand is breathtaking. Born in the waters north of Australia, they cast a rich glow. Because of the rarity of the type of oyster that produces them, cultivation is difficult, making them very valuable.
